The Growing Place

Contemporary WORSHIP 9:30 am | Traditional worshp 11:00 am

Our mission is to provide a Christian environment where preschoolers (birth through pre-kindergarten) can safely play, grow, and learn about their relationship with God, others, and the world. The Growing Place is a half-day weekday preschool located here at Aversboro. We are committed to providing a loving, nurturing, and safe environment in which your child develops spiritually, socially, and academically.
Our School Year Program is open Monday-Friday, 9:15 am-1:15 pm.

  • School Year:  5 days (Monday through Friday), 9:15 am-1:00 pm, for all ages
  • Summer Fun Program (June-August) serves Babies-PreK and older children (who have completed K-5th Grade). Summer Fun is open from
9:15 am-1:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday only during certain weeks of the summer. This year's sessions are June 6-22 (Session 1), July 11-27 (Session 2), and Aug 1-17 (Session 3).

We are not able to accept any more preschoolers for the 2022-2023 school year.

We do have two classes available for the 2023 Summer Fun Program:  4-year-olds and K-5th. Click here to download the form - you will need to complete it and bring your registration fee to enroll. If you would like to place your child on a waiting list, please email Ms. Stacey.

We also have two classes available for the 2023-2024 school year (begins September 5): 2-year-olds and 3-year-olds. To enroll your child, please download the form, complete it, and bring your registration fee to The Growing Place. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Our other 2023-2024 classes are full, but you may email Ms. Stacey to be placed on the waiting list by clicking here.

Children, from birth to 5 years old, are eligible to attend The  Growing Place program during the school year (K-5th are also invited to attend during our Summer Fun Program). Children are grouped in classes by their age on August 31, which is the cut-off date used by the North Carolina Public School System.

A theme-based curriculum is used for all age groups. The whole-group and center-based instructional activities emphasize the objectives each month. Students are encouraged to participate in creative thinking and reasoning, expressive free play, and practicing social and language development skills.

Teachers provide a monthly calendar, so parents can participate at home in reinforcing their child’s learning experience at The Growing Place.

All teachers are professing Christians committed to providing support and assistance to you in your child’s developmental journey. Our staff has been trained to provide the educational foundation to equip your child as he/she grows through their preschool years. All of our staff have been screened and completed a background check & safety training prior to employment. Our Staff is also Infant/Child First Aid and CPR Certified and has educational training in child growth and development.
