The Growing Place

Worship With Us

Sunday's at 9:30am-Contemporary or 11:00am-traditional

We are excited to announce the opening of The Growing Place for the fall semester on Thursday, August 20, 2020, at 9:15 am! We will host an open house on Wednesday, August 19, from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm for families and children to meet their teachers! Watch for more details!

As we open for the fall of 2020, we will be implementing new check-in/check-out procedures and new health practices in light of COVID-19. Child-care guidelines from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services updated as a result of COVID-19 will be followed for children, families, and staff. These guidelines are updated regularly by NCDHHS and the CDC, and our leadership team will continue to monitor the updates. We will provide each family with further information about our practices as we approach the opening date.

We are excited to be able to open and provide this ministry to our families. Many of you pre-registered in early spring for the coming year. If your plans have changed please let us know by July 30, 2020.  If you have any questions, please email us or call us at 919.661.0872.

You may also contact Pastor Joe at 919.779.0434 et 228 or contact by email!

The Growing Place Preschool

Our mission is to provide a Christian environment where preschoolers (birth through pre-kindergarten) can safely play, grow, and learn about their relationship to God, others, and the world. The Growing Place is committed to providing a loving, nurturing, and safe environment in which your child develops spiritually, socially, and academically.
Our Program is open Monday-Friday 9:15am-1:15pm.

Curriculum

A theme-based curriculum is used with all age groups. The whole-group and center-based instructional activities emphasize the objectives each month. Students are encouraged to participate in creative thinking and reasoning, expressive free play, and practicing social and language development skills.

Teachers provide a monthly calendar so parents have the option to participate at home in reinforcing their child’s experience at The Growing Place.

Our Staff

All teachers are professing Christians committed to providing support and assistance to you in your child’s developmental journey. Our staff has been trained to provide the educational foundation to equip your child as he/she grows through the preschool years. Staff is required to attend CPR, First Aid, and to have educational training in child growth and development.

Ages:

Children from birth to 5 years old are eligible to attend the year-long Growing Place program. Children are grouped in classes by their age on August 31st, which is the cut-off date used by the North Carolina Public School System.

Our Summer Fun Program(June-August) serves Babies-PreK and older children who have completed K-5th Grade. Summer Fun is open from 9:15am-1:15pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday. Summer Fun 2020 has been suspended. We will reopen the program in Fall 2020.
