Aversboro’s Trunk or Treat Harvest Fest is right around the corner and we want to be in specific prayer for this community event. Our goal for that night is not just to have lots of fun and eat lots of candy, but connect our community to our church and show them who Christ is and the love He has for them.

For the next week leading up to Trunk or Treat, please be in specific prayer with us.

Thursday 10/24

Pray for our Guests. Pray for those families who are interested in attending our event will decide to join us. Pray for families who are looking for a place to belong, a church, & a community—pray that this event might be the open door that connects them to our church.

Friday 10/25

Pray for the details. Pray for all the details that go into making this event happen. Pray for wisdom, encouragement, and clarity as our lead team and volunteers get ready for this event over the next week.

Saturday 10/26

Pray for Clarity. Sometimes, there are opportunities that can be easy to pass up on being clear about the gospel. Pray that every opportunity to speak the gospel will be met with a clear, concise, winsome statement of the gospel of Christ.

Sunday 10/27

Pray for our Volunteers. Over 100 volunteers help to make this event happen. Pray for their hearts to be ready and excited to serve. Pray that the Lord will use them in BIG ways on the night of Trunk or Treat.

Monday 10/28

Pray for each specific area of Trunk or Treat. Trunks, Concessions, Inflatables, Greeting, Registration, Games, Stage entertainment, Face Painting, Parking, Security, & Behind the Scenes.

Tuesday 10/29

Pray for our Parking Lot. Pray for each set of feet that step foot in our parking lot. For the volunteers, church members, and guests. Pray that their hearts will be excited by this event and see Christ through it.

Wednesday 10/30

Pray for Soil. Jesus told the parable of the sower (Matthew 13) and distinguished different kinds of soil. There are really only two kinds, the kind that bears lasting fruit and the kind that doesn’t. We need to pray for the supernatural work of God to prepare ‘spiritual soil’ in our guests so that they will respond to the gospel seed sown and that people will realize the power of the gospel and how it affects their lives.

Thursday 10/31

Pray for tonight. Pray that the Lord will use us to be His light to people tonight at Trunk or Treat. Pray that people’s eyes will be open to Him and to our church as a way to get to know Him better. Pray for our volunteers and that they will have strength and excitement as they serve our community.

Friday 11/1

Pray for hearts. Pray for each person who attended our event. Pray that their hearts are flooded with the love and joy of Christ and that they might come to check us out on a Sunday at Aversboro.

Our prayer is that our church will become the hands and feet of Jesus to our community in an effort to connect our community to Aversboro, but ultimately connect them with Christ. Our campus will be full of around 2,000 community members on the night of Trunk or Treat and we are beyond excited to welcome them. This is an opportunity to create some fun & encourage our community to check us out. Our continual prayer is that this event helps show people the power of the gospel and how it can change their life.

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” — Colossians 4:2

Thank you for joining us in prayer!
